Dr. Elisa Petrolli, Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist – Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation,

"Rehabilitation is like a middle-distance race: it’s not a sprint, but it’s not a marathon either… it’s a journey that requires a strategic mix of resilience, endurance, strength, and the management of fatigue and pain, in order to reach one’s goal with satisfaction."

Experience and Education

From a young age, I grew up practicing various sports, from figure skating to skiing, swimming, and track and field — eventually specializing in middle-distance running, a discipline to which I still dedicate myself with passion and commitment, both as a master athlete and, starting in 2026, as a FIDAL instructor. I firmly believe in the importance of movement and sport for the proper neuro-motor and psycho-social development and recovery of individuals, whether children or adults.

Through sport, I became interested in the field of rehabilitation, developing such a passion that I pursued studies in Physiotherapy at the Claudiana in Bolzano, further specializing in Sports Physiotherapy at Coverciano, Manual Osteopathic Therapy at the Nuova Scuola di Osteopatia in Treviso, and Mastering Running Injury Management in Bolzano, along with numerous other courses and advanced training, all essential for providing high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation.

I have had the privilege of working as a physiotherapist for two national teams (FISI Men’s Nordic Combined and FIUF Men’s Floorball), while also collaborating in the orthopedic-sports field with private clinics and gyms, as well as in psycho-geriatric and neurological care at social-health centers and nursing homes, eventually joining with pride the team at Dolomiti Sportclinic and Dolomiti Athletic Center.

Following a serious accident in 2006, which required long months in hospital, numerous surgeries, and an intensive rehabilitation process — marked over the years by pauses and restarts due to injuries of varying severity — I developed a deep sensitivity in trauma management, having personally experienced the challenges every patient faces on the path to recovery — until returning to perform as well as, or even better than, before.
