- Medical studies at the Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck.
- Completed military service as Medical Director with the Finance Guard in Trento.
- Specialist training in Trauma Surgery and Sports Traumatology in Italy (Brixen), Austria (Bludenz, Hohenems, Feldkirch) and Germany (Munich and Murnau).
- Qualified as an Emergency Physician in Austria.
- In 2001, returned to Merano Hospital as a Specialist in Trauma Surgery and Sports Traumatology.
Main areas of practice include trauma surgery and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and knee. - Subsequently completed specialist training in Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery with further specialization in joint surgery (shoulder, knee and hip prostheses) at the Endoklinik Hamburg (Germany), as well as specialization in hindfoot surgery and ankle replacement at the Foot Center Basel of the Universität Basel (Switzerland).
- Since 2005, practicing as a freelance Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in South Tyrol and official instructor for ankle prosthesis implantation (HINTEGRA) in Italy.
- From 2006 to 2012, attending physician at the Marienklinik Bozen.
- Since 2010, Medical Director of the Dolomiti Sportclinic.
